How to Measure

Chest

Lay the vest flat and closed. Measure straight across at the armhole, then double it for the full circumference.

Shoulder

Seam to seam across the back, straight between the two shoulder points.

Body Length

From the base of the collar straight down the spine to the bottom hem.

A note on fit. Shoulder matters most on a vest — there is no sleeve to forgive it, and hair-on cowhide has no give. Get that column right first. Body length holds at 17″ through XS, S and M, so the fit difference across those sizes is chest and shoulder, not length. If you are between sizes, size up. The Story

Why it's called No. 1.

Because it was first. Before the belts, before the duffles, before any of it — the jacket was the first thing we made that was entirely ours. Not sourced, not badged. Cut from hide we picked, in a shape we drew, with our name stitched across the back.

We built it to sit in the Western dress code the right way. Cropped enough to show the buckle, structured through the shoulder, cut so it reads at a dance on Saturday and still works over a tee on a Tuesday.

Every hide is chosen by hand. The pattern on your piece landed on one animal and won't repeat — not on the next one off the line, not ever. That isn't a tolerance we're apologizing for. It's the whole reason to buy hide instead of print.

Everything we number after this one has to measure up to it.

The Hide

Premium hair-on cowhide, ethically sourced, selected one hide at a time for depth, contrast, and character. No two vests carry the same markings.

The Cut

Classic V-neck with Western yokes and a shaped hem cut to sit above the buckle, not over it. Layers over a Western shirt, works alone over a tee.

The Details

Signature TC hardware. Functional exterior pockets — sized to actually use. Interior pocket for what you'd rather not lose.

The Batch

Made in limited runs. When a hide pattern is gone, it's gone.

Fit

True to size. Size up if you plan to wear it over a heavier shirt.
Product Care

Crafted from premium hair-on cowhide. Natural variation and subtle wear are part of its character.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to rain
  • If wet, blot gently and air dry at room temperature
  • Do not apply direct heat

Fur Preservation

  • Brush lightly in the direction of the hair with a soft garment brush
  • Avoid excessive friction
  • Do not apply conditioners or oils to the hair side

Storage

  • Store on a structured hanger
  • Use a breathable garment bag
  • Keep out of direct sunlight
